The Northern Dinner will be held at the “Artists Club”, a fine city centre dining club made available to us through the good offices of our member Mike Tomkinson.

The Artists Club is a private members’ club, founded in 1877 and has occupied premises in the centre of Liverpool since 1889.  Its elegant dining room is wood panelled and contains a collection of portraits that contributes to its unique ambience.  You are encourage to visit their web site at

Our guests will be Mr Philip Gilmour, Commodore Royal Mersey Yacht Club, and his wife Judith.

The evening will start at 1900 with a wine reception and this will be followed by dinner at 1930 comprising:

Home-made mackerel, horseradish and spring onion paté

Baked honey and mustard glazed gammon with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and mustard sauce

* * * * * *

Dinner will be accompanied by fine red and white wines and followed by port.

A cash bar will operate after dinner, up to 2330.
